Functional Safety - International Assignment in Canada |
Would you be interested in participating in a short or long term international assignment in Canada?
ACM Facility Safety is leading the “ Safeguarding Evolution ” in North America ’ s chemical and process operating plants and needs your help.
We are currently looking for engineers and technologists that want to hone their skills in Safety Lifecycle management.
Our “ ideal ” candidate is a mid-career engineer with control systems knowledge and perhaps SIL experience (though not necessary) who really wants to learn the craft and has a desire to lead SIL Determination / LOPA studies. This individual needs some miles on them, must have projects under their belt, and must be able to relate to the participants in a group.
The best candidates for a “ qualified and keen-to-learn engineer / technologist ” include:
Solid understanding of control systems (i.e. I & C background)
Excellent people skills; (they are comfortable working in group situations; they can read people well)
Strong desire to lead groups and enjoy working in teams (they want to learn to become a facilitator) ¨
Very good listening and speaking capability in the English language
Proven ability to learn to operate and use software tools
- Reasonable ability to type without looking at the keyboard
- Will want to get up in front of a crowd of strangers and proclaim that “ I will lead you through the process / place your trust in me ” .
